The spending and consumption habits of the students in HEIs or the Gen-Z has much impact in the socio-economic of the area where it is located and at the macro level it impacts the production and services in the economy. The spending and consumption habits of the college students determines the nature of business established around the institutions, the production units or services for entrepreneurs to establish and engage in business. It is easily observed that the environment around the campuses of HEIs are crowded with small eateries, photocopiers, PGs, rooms for renting, transport services, etc. because these are the products and services demanded by the college students and it gives ample opportunities to entrepreneurs. It is an attempt to find out the demand of students in HEIs and supply to satisfy the demand. Concerted effort is made in the research so that policy makers at the Government or institution and entrepreneurs can use effectively for making decisions, policies and its effective implementations.
